Announcements

And now, perhaps, to speak of more cheerful things: there are a number of upcoming events in the Bournemouth area I heartily recommend.

Tomorrow evening, the latest Safehouse Collective meeting, at the Lighthouse, Poole. Anyone interested in playing can do so (it would be nice to turn up half an hour early, in order to set up.) Otherwise, it begins at 8.00, is free, and an amalgam of the South coast's best improv talent.

On Wednesday 17th, the BSO will be playing Handel's Messiah at the Lighthouse, or, as a cheaper option, Betika will be playing an acoustic set alongside a number of others at the Tudor Grange Hotel.

On Thursday 18th, the mighty Club Anemone returns to The Gander with a quite excellent line-up, including Bournemouth's very own Yaaard, and the simply lovely Love.Stop.Repeat (begins 7.30, £5 entry/£4 before 8.30, or with NUS).

And, just before Christmas Eve (which, no doubt, I will be working on), Brighton exile Animal Magic Tricks will be playing at the Pink Moon night at Chaplins, above the Cellar Bar in Boscombe. As far as I know, it's free entry, and begins at 8.00.
